The Yamas and Niyamas are the first 2 of the 8 limbs of yoga. Unfortunately, these two gems are often overshadowed by the third limb of yoga: asana (yoga poses). There are 5 yamas and 5 niyamas respectively. This workshop presents these important subjects in an easy to understand way. But rest assured that if you don't understand everything, it comes in time...like all things. You will see how it all readily translates into your everyday life AND yoga practice.

Stacy Furr E-RYT500 is leading this lecture. She is a teacher of teachers and has been teaching this subject matter for nearly a decade. Her approach is casual and she invites her students to chime in and use their voices. You are encouraged to bring a notebook, pen, and bottled water.

Please join Maureen Hughes, PhD, LMT, CATP, CTT for a powerful dual workshop to help you determine your Ayurvedic Prakruti and understand how to manage imbalances, as well as a small demonstration of Ayurvedic Thai Yoga Therapy.

Ayurvedic Practices have been in place for around 5000 years. The believe that “Food is thy Medicine, and Proper food is necessary for Medicine to work” are fundamental to this “Science of Life”. We will learn about the doshas that make up our Prakruti, our innate constitution, and how balances manifest. We will also take a quiz to determine your doshas, and you will receive a list of foods congruent with balancing difficulties that arise with each Dosha Type. This list came from the same Ayurveda Center where she experienced PanchaKarma Detoxification on three separate occasions.

Maureen will be demonstrating a session of Ayurvedic Thai Yoga based off of a 1000 year old healing treatment regimen practiced to this day in Thailand, done fully clothed on a comfortable mat, or on a table. This "Southern" style or Royal Method of Thai Yoga Therapy is performed on royalty, but is suitable for anyone of any age. It includes stretching, compression, and the working of energy lines to open the body, relieve stress and tension, and create an overall sense of joy, peace, and well-being

Mindful Marionettes - Interactive Puppet Show for All

Mindful Marionettes is a 45 minute puppet show intending to share the benefits of mindfulness with kids of all ages. The show includes interactive yoga poses, singing bowl meditation, and a sing along to help everyone find that mind-body connection helpful for improving concentration and life!

Kids join Willy Rae (a ventriloquist doll) on his quest for calmness, as he learns from Yogi Bear and other characters how to soothe himself and go from Silly Willy to Chill Will. This puppet show is filled with recognizable songs that’ll have mom and dad chuckling and swaying, while the kids get involved with mindfulness exercises alongside Willy and his pals. Mindful Marionettes is fun for kids of all ages. $10 / person includes a coloring sheet and crayons for each child.

Join Jennifer Miller, licensed doctor of physical therapy and certified lymphedema and women’s health specialist to learn basic anatomy and exercise related to the pelvic floor and the lymphatic system. This two hour workshop will include guided meditation, specific yoga postures as well as breathing and self-massage techniques to teach you to improve coordination and control of the pelvic floor muscles and stimulate the lymphatic system.

A healthy pelvic floor provides support to abdominal and pelvic organs for proper regulation of bodily functions. But did you know that a healthy pelvic floor must not only be strong, but also flexible and well-coordinated?
Little attention is paid to the lymphatic system until an imbalance occurs that upsets fluid regulation or the immune system. But did you know that you can productively stimulate your lymphatic system through exercise and breathing?
Deep lymphatics within the trunk benefit from a strong, flexible and coordinated core and pelvic floor for optimal support. With specific awareness and concentrated effort we are able to stimulate, engage and improve the function of both of these different, but related body systems in our yoga practice.

We will start with setting Intentions for 2018 followed by a short yoga flow with Sara Catlett and a Prosperity Meditation for 2018 with Dev Shabad Kaur. We will then enjoy Kirtan, a Gong Bath, and various collaborations with all the Musicians flowing seemlessly in and out allowing particpants to step outside of time and space and truly just be. Participants will be helped into Restorative Poses and receive Reiki during various parts of the Sound Immersion Experience.

Healthy food and drinks will be provided in the Nourishment Area, many of them prepared with love by the various healers.

Wake up on the first day of the New Year feeling refreshed, relaxed, and rejuvenated. End your year with release. Let go of 2017 and begin 2018 with Intention, setting the tone for the entire rest of the year.

We will be discussing each of the 7 Major Chakras and the Aura, learning the organs and body parts each Chakra is associated with, and ways unbalanced or blocked Chakras manifest in the body and in our behaviors.

Give yourself the tools to diagnose when a Chakra is out of balance or blocked. Be the mechanic of your Soul.

Once we are able to figure out how to tell if a Chakra is blocked, we will learn postures, mudras, mantras, crystals, and foods that aid in unblocking and balancing each Chakra.

After a Kriya and Meditation to balance the chakras and a Gong Bath students that pre-registered will receive a goody bag containing a small crystal, a "Chakra Snack-Pack" and a handout containing information to take home.
